Views of Mount Shasta are always changing based upon vantage point, season, weather, and lighting. Such a different sight when she is wearing her winter white or graced with contrasting rock and glacier. Such a different feeling when illumined by a setting sun or bathed in full moonlight. And such a different world being a few miles away or above tree line. The only constant is her awesome beauty.

I decided years ago I did not want to take photography seriously – I am not interested in seeing the world through a camera lens. At the same time, I just can’t resist taking pictures of the beauty of our amazing world. I rarely go somewhere to take pictures, but I frequently take pictures when I go somewhere, most often hiking. The photos are only a semblance of the Beauty of the moment that opens my heart and fills me with deep Gratitude. I hope they bring you joy.
